The Living Light House is a zero-energy project that involved more than 200 UT Knoxville students from nine academic disciplines in a 2011 U.S. Department of Energy competition called the Solar Decathlon. Living Light, a solar-demonstration structure, earned 8th place in the competition. The house can be toured at the Children’s Museum of Oak Ridge in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
